June Meeting: The Art of Seeing

The LADIG is proud to present a special event, "The Art of Seeing", featuring the pioneering work of two fine art photographers - Bruce Hall and Peter Eckert. These two visionaries will present their unique imagery that uses photography to express "inner vision" in the outer world and bring the "outer world" to inner vision! These two artists share a common perspective... they are both legally blind! 

This special event will explore the idea that blind photographers may possess the clearest vision in the world! As Bruce says: "I make and exhibit photographs to overcome misunderstandings and challenge assumptions about photography, blindness, disability and the act of seeing." Pete also comments: "The main reason I do this is to SEE so capturing the image in my minds eye is important. Photography for me is to help "see" the world."

The meeting will take place Tuesday, June 9th from 7-9:30pm, at Aaron Rapoport Studio, 922 N. Formosa Ave. in West Hollywood (323-883-0388). The studio is at the rear corner on the north side.
